SkeptiCamp 2025

Affectionately called the Wikipediatrician, Susan Gerbic is the cofounder of Monterey County Skeptics and a self-proclaimed skeptical junkie. Susan is also founder of the Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia (GSoW) project. She is a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, and writes for her column, Guerilla Skepticism, often.

A former high school mathematics teacher, Adrienne is deeply involved in fostering critical thinking and education through her diverse roles. She serves as a board member for About Time, a non-profit organization founded by Susan Gerbic, and for the Tourette OCD Alberta Network, where she contributes as a presenter and educational consultant. Adrienne is an active editor with Guerrilla Skepticism on Wikipedia and a reporter for The Skeptic Zone podcast. Among her favourite projects are volunteering for the Great Australian Psychic Prediction Project, led by Richard Saunders, and her deep dive into the fascinating history of Sallie Winchester and the Winchester Mystery House.

Kyle Polich is a data science consultant and founder of DataSkeptic.com, which explores the skeptical perspective on machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, and all things data related.

Carolyn is a retired teacher, founder of Rational Roundtable in the Central Valley of California, planning committee member for the SkeptCal Conference, and a CSICon Sunday Paper presenter.

Since retiring from Atari at age 42, Leonard has been concentrating on advocating for science education (See Forbes magazine, Oct. 30, 2000, for his work to improve the quality of science textbooks with the California Department of Education). Tramiel has also been a volunteer eighth-grade astronomy teacher for the past 10 years and has been volunteering at the Chabot Space and Science Center since 2000. He is a member of the SETI Institute Council of Advisors.

David Weinberg is a full-time academic vitreoretinal surgeon and professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Inquiries from his patients sparked his interest in the less-than-science-based aspects of medicine. Investigation of their questions led to his discovery of numerous grandiose claims for implausible, unproven treatments of potentially blinding eye diseases. He also contributes to the Science-Based Medicine Blog and was a CSICon Sunday Paper presenter.
